1,706 one room shelters completed in Jacobabad, Sindh

UN-Habitat has successfully completed 1,706 one-room shelters in Jacobabad Sindh, for the flood affected people where through the financial support of UK aid and Youth Action for Pakistan as implementing partners.A one-room shelter is a rectangular shaped 20 square meter structure that can accommodate up to seven people. With its one door and window, it serves as a core room to which beneficiaries can add further rooms, depending on their resources.

1,118 one-room shelters completed in District Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab

532 have been completed in Tehsil D.G. Khan and 586 shelters in Tehsil Taunsa. 371 shelters have also been completed in Muzaffargarh, Punjab for the beneficiaries of the super floods of 2010. With the completion of these shelters, the people of Punjab can look forward to building back their lives. More shelters are under construction in other areas of Punjab and rapidly nearing completion in the coming months.

150 winterized transitional shelters and 100 latrines constructed in Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan
